General Education Program

The General Education program consists of 5 different areas whose requirements all students must fulfill:

Basic Skills (5 courses): English, Mathematics, Critical Thinking and Oral Communication.
Natural Sciences and Mathematics (2 science courses including 1 laboratory, plus one mathematics course).
Humanities (3 courses): Art, Asian-Pacific Studies, Humanities, Literature, Music, Philosophy.
Social Sciences (3 courses): Anthropology, Economics,
Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology.
Whole Person (1 course): Health, Personal Development.

The following table gives further details on the courses required to fulfill the General Education Program at OFC. Numbers in parentheses in the following table indicate the credit units earned on successful completion of a given course.
