College Program
Transfer Information
verseas Family College has transfer agreements
with California
State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) and a number of other universities listed
below. These agreements simplify the process
of applying and transferring credit to other
universities. However, students who complete
the two-year program at OFC can apply to
any university they wish to transfer to,
and students from OFC have successfully
applied and had all or most of their credit
accepted at many excellent universities
across the U.S. and Canada, as well as Australia,
New Zealand and the UK. It is important
to understand that admissions and acceptance
of transfer credit is the prerogative of
the individual university and is determined
on a case by case basis. In order for students
to transfer to a university of their choice,
it is particularly important that they have
an excellent academic record and can demonstrate
strong English language skills, especially
in critical writing.
Overseas Family College has transfer (articulation)
agreements with the following universities:
California
State University, Dominguez Hills
Chaminade
University of Honolulu, Hawai’i
Hawai’i
Pacific University, Honolulu, Hawai’i
University
of Windsor, Ontario, Canada
Transferring
to CSUDH
In order to transfer directly to CSUDH,
you should complete the General
Education Program and have a minimum
total of 56 credit
units with a cumulative Grade
Point Average of at least 2.0. In addition,
if you are not a native speaker of English,
you must pass the TOEFL (Test of English
as a Foreign Language) with a score of 550
or higher (213 or higher on the computer
based test). Fulfilling these requirements
will mean a student is eligible to transfer
to CSUDH as a third year student.
Other universities can vary in terms of
their transfer admissions requirements,
such as minimum number of credits earned,
minimum GPA and English language requirement.
However, most U.S. universities are likely
to have requirements similar to those of CSUDH. |
